Steijn Vervloedt

Steijn Vervloedt obtained his BSc (2020) and MSc (2022) in Applied Physics at the Fontys University of Applied Science and Eindhoven University of Technology, respectively. He subsequently joined the chair of Experimental Physics II at the Ruhr University Bochum to pursue his PhD in Physics under supervision of Prof. Dr. Achim von Keudell. His research focussed on plasma physics, beginning during his master’s studies. He employed IR-based spectroscopies to study the gas composition in and downstream of different plasmas, as well as the surface composition of substrates in direct contact with the plasma. Following the completion of his PhD, Steijn joined the TDLab, where he is involved in spectroscopic gas sensing projects.
